Hungarians to celebrate their centennial in area

The Hungarian community of Cleveland will mark its centennial in the city with a grand ball Saturday at the Western Reserve Historical Society, 10825 East Blvd.
The ball commemorates the first permanent community of Hungarian settlers in the Western Reserve. The festivities will begin with a cocktail reception at 7 p.m. and dinner at 8.
A historical exhibit will be on display recounting the contributions of the Hungarians to business, the professions and industry in the Cleveland area. Honorary chairmen of the Cleveland Hungarian Centennial Ball committee are Mr. and Mrs. Zoltan Gombos.
